Why Finding the Few?

36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
--Matthew 9:36-38 (ESV)

FindingtheFew.org understands that being a resolute, active, harvest-minded disciple of Christ will be challenging.  And, most likely, it will place a person on a journey in which that person will not be the majority.  The goal is to encourage and challenge the few who truly embrace this cause and to see them deployed to make disciples both here and abroad.  From the premise that resolute, active, harvest-minded-disciples represent a unique, purpose-filled life on this earth, the material represented on this site will seek to be encouraging, thought-provoking and challenging.  Categorically, it will be divided into these three areas…

  • Of the Son. This section will include encouraging and essential information designed to build up the disciple in his/her position "in Christ" by being alert to grace, mindful of humility, and driven by love.

  • In the culture. In this section, thoughts will be presented reinforcing and prompting, a counter-cultural approach to living that is for the common good of one's local society.  These thoughts will reinforce willful sacrifice, transformed actions, and renewed thinking.

  • To the nations. Being that Jesus' last command should be our primary concern, as a natural flow of discipleship, we must be mindful of God’s heart for the nations and share in the global responsibility of taking the message of new life in Christ to all unengaged and unreached people groups. Involvement will be presented for praying, giving, and going.

From this online presence, social media and speaking engagements, Finding the Few seeks to engage the present generation toward willing participation as enthusiastic followers of Christ!

Additionally, FindingtheFew.org has launched a School of Missions program specifically for the purpose of equipping individuals for involvement in the missionary endeavor by either going or partnering with those who go. Click the link below for more information.
